PPO (Preferred Provider Organization)

A PPO is similar to an HMO, however it is comprised of a network of physicians, hospitals and other healthcare providers who offer their services at a contracted fee. The only out-of-pocket costs to the insured are regular, pre-determined co-payments, deductible, and coinsurance. This option gives you the freedom to seek treatment from any provider within the PPOs network without a physician's referral.
